LabSix Inc. ("Company," "we," "us") takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information in O2 The Forest ("Game"). We are committed to complying with global privacy standards, including GDPR, CCPA, and COPPA.
1. Information We Collect
1.1. Account Information
Identifiers: Meta (Oculus) User ID, Display Name, and Platform Device ID.
Purpose: To authenticate your login, save your inventory/base data, and manage bans.
1.2. VR Movement Data (Physical Data)
What we collect: Real-time coordinates of your headset and controllers (hand/head position and rotation).
Usage Limit: This data is used strictly to animate your in-game avatar and synchronize your movements with other players.
No Biometrics: We do NOT store this data for biometric identification or "gait analysis." It is discarded immediately after gameplay processing.
1.3. Voice Chat Data (Safety & Moderation)
Proximity Chat: To enable social gameplay, we process voice audio in real-time.
Moderation Buffering: To enforce our Code of Conduct (e.g., prohibiting hate speech), we may temporarily retain a short buffer of voice audio only when a user report is filed. These recordings are deleted after the moderation review is complete.
1.4. Community & Discord Data
Discord Channel(s): When you use our game Discord channels, we may use your Discord username and ID, email, and any information you share publicly.
Purpose: To verify your identity for support tickets, manage community roles, and facilitate beta testing or events.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data for the following purposes
Core Functionality: To sync your movement with other players and save your in-game progress.
Safety & Moderation: To detect cheats, investigate reports of harassment, and enforce bans against toxic behavior.
Analytics: To analyze gameplay trends (e.g., "Where do players die most?") to balance difficulty and fix bugs.
Support: To respond to your inquiries sent to support@labsix.com.
3. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data. We only share data in the following circumstances:
Service Providers: We use third-party cloud services (e.g., Photon, AWS, Azure) to host game servers and store save data.
Platform Partners: Meta (Reality Labs) receives data related to app performance and crashes as part of their platform analytics.
Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users.
4. Children’s Privacy
O2 The Forest is not directed to children under the age of 13.
Under 13: We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover such data, we will delete it immediately.
Ages 10-12: In compliance with Meta’s policies, users aged 10-12 may play only via a Parent-Managed Meta Account. We rely on Meta’s age verification and parental consent mechanisms.

5. Data Retention & Security
Retention: We retain account data (save files) for as long as your account is active. Crash logs and analytics data are aggregated and anonymized after a set period.
Security: We implement industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your location (e.g., EEA, California), you may have the following rights:
Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Deletion: Request that we delete your account and associated data.
Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate data.
